We discussed a lot about happiness and its importance from the previous article. Dudu hopes you got the doubts cleared about trying to be happy.  Dudu would like to repeat the quote he found.

Dudu still discovers about the ways to be happy. Therefore, he gets to know various methods and prefers trying almost all of those because the articles are based on his experiences. Dudu prepared a list including the things we can try in order to be happy. So, let’s talk about those methods and also about points to be considered when following those.


01. Be satisfied with what you possess

You may not have had almost everything you are fond of. Also, none of us can expect to have everything we like in our lives ahead. But, all of us are gifted with something. It may not be something material. It may be even a hidden talent! Just have faith in it. It would be helpful for you to feel better.

Tip: Give consideration to the things and abilities you’ve got. But do not try to compare yourself to another and be happy for possessing something they haven’t got. Also, do not be sad if you haven’t got something that another person already has. Remember that you’re a unique human being.

Most of the time, people are used to recalling what they missed in life, which leads them to be more upset. Do you really think that we should be sad about something we haven’t got? Which is better? Being anxious or being strong enough to get what you want? The decision is up to you. There are so many paths to find the things you missed. You just have to walk in the correct path. But, being patient is very important because it doesn’t seem as easy as it sounds.

Dudu couldn’t swim in the past. He just stayed at the shore when he went to the beach with his friends, who were good swimmers. They tried so hard to teach Dudu how to swim. But their attempt was failed. That made Dudu sorrowful. But, Dudu wasn’t ready to give it up so easily. He decided to obtain help from a coach and practice swimming on Saturdays. Finally, Dudu learnt how to swim. Now he is capable of doing that just like his friends.

This is one of the songs that made Dudu’s mind to never give up.

Be optimistic every time. Think that you’re capable of doing whatever you like. Just try to see the positive side of everything. Make “Yes, I can” your motto.

There was a stand fan in Dudu’s bedroom. In an early morning, Dudu woke up and tried to go to the kitchen in a hurry, which caused the working stand fan to fall down. But, Dudu was feeling hungry. So he didn’t waste any time for checking out what happened. When Dudu did so after having some snacks, he was disappointed to find the broken fan, which was no longer working. But, Dudu had a flash idea about giving a try to mend it by himself! That is exactly what he did, and he was able to repair it even before his family woke up!

Almost everything has a positive side. It might be hidden. But, try to find that. See how Dudu built up a reason to be happy, from a reason to be sad. Thanks to that accidental incident, Dudu can now repair a fan even!

Tip: You will have plenty of obstacles in life. But don’t let those to be stop signs. Be strong enough and courageous to face problems. Remember that failure is also a part of success. Don’t let failure drag you down. Be unstoppable.

Variation: Don’t try to see a positive side in an instance like, the death of a pet. Take time to express your sorrow. Let time heal your wounds.

Build up a unique lifestyle just for yourself. Don’t try to be like another one. Living like that may sometimes lead other people to imitate you at some point! They will start appreciating you. Keep in mind that characteristic ideas can even drive you to innovations.

Tip: Try giving a value to your uniqueness. Remember that comparing yourself to another is a big no-no. Take it easy and just be you.

You should live in the present. Yesterday is dead & gone, and tomorrow is out of sight. You may have dark memories in the past. But don’t let those ruin your present life. Make those long ago things a lesson in order to conquer a successful future. Don’t worry your mind about what is going to happen either. Just pay attention to the current situation and mind your business.

Tip: Let your past to be an excellent instructor for you.

Being minimal means fulfilling your needs & wants with a low amount of resources. That has unseen happiness.

A few years ago, Dudu used to follow the latest fashions and consume high-quality brands. But later, Dudu got to know about the minimalism life and decided to give it a try. After some time, Dudu realized that his expenditure has gradually decreased, causing money to remain in hand. That practice gave Dudu a simple lifestyle. Leading a minimalism life helps people avoid a number of problems they have to face in day-to-day life. Dudu has a wonderful example.

There’s a social media platform in Dudu’s world, named Dacebook, which is popular in so many countries. Its founder is Duark Duckerberg. He has a habit of wearing a grey t-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans most of the time. Having an identical outfit collection like that caused him a considerable convenience.

At many occasions, we worry about what to wear, just because we have varieties of outfits. But, if your wardrobe is identical, you won’t have to waste your brainpower upon deciding. Duark found a good solution that way. Now, Dudu hopes you can understand how minimalism life provides happiness. It’s time-saving and also pocket-friendly!

Don’t try to hide your feelings. It will be stressful. Your thoughts and feelings are precious & also important, even if you don’t believe it. Therefore, feel free to express your inner thoughts in a suitable manner.

  • Have a chat with someone very close to you
  • Write down your feelings in a book
  • Try turning your feelings into a painting, a song or maybe even a poem

Sometimes, you may find it hard to turn your feelings into words. We can call even this Dudu’s World as a creation related to expressing emotions.

This is a very good idea rather than spending cash to buy something material. It will give you never-dying, cool memories.

  • Try going on a trip with your family or friends during the holidays
  • Enjoy your Friday dinner outside
  • Have parties with friends on weekends

Get experiences from such activities. They will last for a lifetime.

Variation: If you want a computer for studies or business work, do not hesitate to pay cash for buying one. Spend cash for your necessities like medicine.

You may have unforgettable experiences in your memory. There must be friends, family members or neighbours who had those experiences with you. You don’t get chances to win every time in life. Things rise and fall. That’s the nature of everything. There are many occasions; even Dudu had to face defeat. It may be either victory or defeat you get, just treat both of those equally. That will be helpful for you to control yourself from being too much happy or too much sad. Don’t forget that even the most successful people had to face defeat.

Tip: If your opponent got defeated, try to comfort him/her, so you can prevent them from being upset. It would make you both happy. You’ll be able to have a good reputation, among others.

When you get a chance to smile with someone, give them a winning smile. You never know what a friendly smile can do! It is the easiest way to make friends. So, make sure to give your pleasant smile next time. It won’t make you look like a total airhead!

Helping is an excellent deed that everyone should practice. When you get a chance to afford something you’ve got, try giving it. That will give you an immense happiness. It may be a family member, a friend, a neighbour or even a beggar who’s expecting assistance from you. Try to help them the way you can.

One day Dudu was alone at home because his family members had gone somewhere. Dudu bought the lunch from a well-known restaurant in Duduland. He was fond of the meals from that place. Dudu happily came out thinking about how delicious the lunch might be. On his way home, Dudu saw a homeless mother with two kids. He recalled how he used to love eating from his favourite place when he was a kid, ages ago. That made him forget hunger. So Dudu offered his lunch to those innocent kids and went home. Dudu couldn’t buy another meal because he didn’t have sufficient money. He ate just a banana that afternoon. Dudu didn’t need anything because his happiness was overflowing.

Tip: Do not hesitate to give something to a needy person.


13. Thank everyone who helped you

If someone offered you a help, be polite enough to thank him/her. It will make them happy. Also, it will lead them to help another one. Thanking is a good etiquette. It makes a person feel so special.

Tip: Praise the ones who help others. Encourage them to help more people. Praise the ones who have good qualities. Note down the favours you did and the ones done by others on behalf of you, in a book. Later on, you’ll be able to recall those and thank everyone who helped you.

Try talking to yourself for approximately 10-15 minutes daily. Use your inner voice for this.

  • Forgive yourself for any injustice that occurred to you because of your mistakes

  • Never underestimate about you

This will be helpful for identifying your weaknesses so that you can improve your self-confidence.

Try doing meditation for like 15-30 minutes every day. It will help you to have a peaceful and calm mind.  When doing meditation,

  • Build up a connection with your sense
  • Consider the way the ground sustain your weight

There are plenty of ways to control your anger and misery. An easy way is to think positively about the reason that annoyed you. Dudu hopes you can remember how he worked when that stand fan was broken.

Tip: At some occasions, your happy mood can be spoiled because of another person. We all have had such experiences. But, it’s really important to be patient, because you must try to save your happy mood. Following the garbage law will be helpful for that.
